MSL graduates at The Chicago Theater on graduation day
Northwestern Pritzker School of Law is pleased to announce the creation of a new scholarship to be awarded to an outstanding MSL graduate who pursues Northwestern’s JD program: the MSL–JD STEM Scholars Award. The STEM Scholars Award will provide support for an MSL graduate who is admitted to Northwestern Pritzker Law’s Juris Doctor (JD) program.
MSL graduates bring a unique interdisciplinary perspective to the JD program, which is extremely valuable in today’s dynamic economic and technological environment. With their STEM backgrounds and their MSL training at the intersection of law, business, and technology, MSL graduates are uniquely-positioned to make an impact, both in the classroom and as professionals. Over the years, many outstanding MSL alumni have gone on to earn JDs in Northwestern’s JD program; this scholarship recognizes the value they bring and is designed to encourage excellent MSL graduates to continue their studies at Northwestern.
The Law School anticipates awarding one MSL–JD STEM Scholarship per year, in the amount of $135,000, split evenly over the three years of JD study. The recipient must maintain good academic standing and remain enrolled for the duration of the three-year scholarship. Students wishing to be considered for the scholarship must apply for the JD through Northwestern’s regular admissions process and follow all instructions for submitting the JD financial aid application materials.
