In early January, a number of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law faculty will be presenting at the 2019 Association for American Law Schools (AALS) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, serving as both panel participants and moderators. The theme of this year’s meeting is “Building Bridges.”
Below is a schedule of when attendees can hear from Northwestern Law faculty. In addition to the speakers noted, James Pfander, Owen L. Coon Professor of Law, chaired the AALS program committee and served on the executive committee of the Federal Court section.

“Women Trailblazers in the Law” organized by the American Bar Foundation Ajay Mehrotra, professor of law and executive director and research professor at the American Bar Foundation, will serve as moderator.
Saturday, January 5

“Promise and Pitfalls of Technology in Dispute Resolution” organized by the Alternative Dispute Resolution section, co-sponsored by Litigation and Technology, Law and Legal Education Alyson Carrel, clinical associate professor of law and associate dean of law and technology, will serve as a speaker.
“The 2017 Tax Changes – One Year Later” organized by the Taxation section, co-sponsored by Legislation & Law of the Political Process, and Trust and Estates Professor Mehrotra will serve as a speaker.
“European Law – Works-in-Progress” organized by the European Law section Professor Delaney, chair-elect of the European Law section, will serve as commentator.
